WYBS MISSION STATEMENT

To teach our children the fundamental skills of baseball and softball, while at the same time, instilling in them values and character that will serve them well in their future endeavors.   We are a volunteer driven organization committed to building an appreciation for the games of baseball and softball through quality coaching and supportive parental involvement.   It is our fundamental belief that every child with a desire to play baseball or softball be afforded the opportunity to participate, where the emphasis is not always on winning, but on good sportsmanship, fair play, discipline, safety, teamwork, and most of all…..fun.

City Tournament Champions
Congratulations to  Hovda Orthodontics who defeated the Stettin Lions 5-0 for their 2nd straight Little League City Tournament Championship, as well as Allied Health who defeated Thrivent 5-4 to take home the Junior League City Tournament Championship.  Both games were extremely well played and all four teams should be proud of their performance.

Volunteer Appreciation Picnic
WYBS in appreciation for all of its volunteers this past season, is hosting a picnic on August 30th at the Big Kitchen Shelter at Marathon Park from 5:00 p.m. to close.  Anyone who contributed their time and skills this past season including coaches, umpires, scorekeepers, concession workers, sponsors, board members, etc. are invited to attend.  Bring nothing but your appetite.

As team of the night, we supply them with free tickets and prior to the game they get to run out onto the field next to the Woodchucks players and stand there for the national anthem.  E-mail Austin Punzel at punzel.aust@uwlax.edu, or call the office at 845-5055.
